With the annual Christmas party in the past, we officially wish you a Merry Christmas🎄🎅 with our traditional SMC Christmas tree. Thanks to monika tomar, thuận trần, Toma Bhowmick, and Raj.Deka for setting it up this year! See you in 2024!
Last week SMC Program organized the SMC day, where all groups presented their most important analysis techniques and tips and tricks for the lab. We brainstormed on what we can do to make our work lives better and later on had some time for bowling, darts, and shuffle boards.🥳

Now in Green Chemistry: Our proof-of-principle study of a combined photobiological-photochemical route from CO2 to C10 jet fuel hydrocarbons via isoprene. Really great efforts by Anup Rana Leandro Cid Gomes João Rodrigues and all others pubs.rsc.org/en/content/art…
(TMS)2PLi and some LiOEt will reductively couple two diaryl ketones to tetraaryl ethylene. Head-to-head dimerization of P=C intermediates is key.

Let us agree, that we all should do our best to make our research more sustainable. A step into the right direction can already be made with simple changes, as described by Uppsala University’s Towards Greener Research network in the blog post from Sina Wrede. towardsgreenresearch.wordpress.com/2022/01/23/tow…
Centralization done well can lead to more efficient resource usage. Members of Uppsala University's Towards Greener Research network have demonstrated how to do so at the Rudbeck Lab. Check out their blog post: towardsgreenresearch.wordpress.com/2022/01/20/one…
