Nursery loved having a visit today from ‘Cats Protection’
They told us how they look after cats that are abandoned or sick. We are going to collect some cat food for this charity.
After that we made cat biscuits. We are cool for cats in Nursery!

We had a lovely snack of tea and scones,with strawberry jam to celebrate St George’s Day! Great pouring everyone!

Our topic in Nursery is ‘ Can You Help Me?’
We have been talking about who looks after sick pets; which links well with our class story ‘ Matilda’s Cat’ by Emily Gravett.
We have some future veterinarians in our Nursery!

Well done all at St Edmund’s and St Thomas’ during lent you have helped those near and far. Your families have given generously to our local food bank and toward CAFOD. We have joined together for prayer and liturgy. Take care and have a restful Easter break.

On Wednesday it was World Frog Day. Nursery talked about how frogs are finding it harder to find nice clean ponds.
We visited our school pond and picked some litter out. We had frog stories and made some lovely frog models.
We all wore green too for the day!

Today we watched the CAFOD Lent assembly. As we prepare for the greatest week, Holy Week, we think about how we can help our brothers and sisters around the world. On Tuesday 26th March KS2 will take part in our CAFOD Big Walk. Please sponsor what you can.

Nursery have been celebrating St Patrick’s Day this week .
We made soda bread. It was delicious! We danced an Irish jig and learnt a funny song called Michael Finnigan!

Nursery enjoyed a lovely World Book Day. The children were so excited to see each other in their costumes. We read stories, we laughed, we sang and danced!
