I think this has happened once or twice already (maybe papers were forthcoming). The alternative is to admit larger classes and cut half by end of y3. Difficult to do without coordination.

my personal metric is to have so many projects going on i can no longer figure out a viable method for keeping track. this tends to result in a bunch of papers under review

Reading this today after writing 6309 words yesterday. I would add that a Monday holiday weekend can get you the 1-2 combo that sets you apart. The Lord’s day? He gave us the written word—use it. MLK day? He studied Books—go write one.

Or perhaps in select cases, consider giving your *advisor* the gift of writing—by writing a draft of his major grant, which is due in ~two weeks.
