Rare to see a field all the way from the patient bedside to the most fundamental research. Cryptosporidiosis is such a devastating pediatric disease. I emerged from the meeting truly inspired, seeing all the great science and terrific young researchers left me quite hopeful.

#crypto2024 I learned last night about the importance of the designation of a Neglected Tropical Disease and how this can aid drug development. World Health Organization (WHO) has not (yet) designated Cryptosporidium as an NTD. Probably time to consider.
