What a brilliant self portrait from a year 4 child St Michael's C of E Primary Academy, Handsworth . I just love the attention paid to the shadows and the shaping of the hair.

Last week was all about the tissue paper St Matthew's Research School Beautiful lanterns from year 4 and an amazing corridor installation from reception!

Year 5 at Hawksley Church primary took their inspiration from Bob&Roberta Smith Smith for their latest display.

Last summer year 6 St Matthew's Research School produced this fab drawing inspired by the work of Birmingham artist and Turner prize nominee Barbara Walker. Good luck Barbara!

Hands up who took a 'low value degree' & wouldn't be where you are without it. Hands up who thinks EVERY young person should have the opportunity to do the same. Hands up who thinks higher education shouldn't be reduced to 'produces high earners'.
