If you want to learn on how not to conduct an interview by frequent interruptions and using provocative language to rile the interviewee, please do watch interview with Surjit Bhalla. Badgering the guest seems to be Karan’s style. Sad.

CMIE data does not go up - Female labour force participation rate now at 9 % when the PLFS value is close to 40 %; I think the peak CMIE data for FLFPR over the last few years is 11 % - so, consistently lower than Yemen and Iraq

Ideology laced lazy journalists are , by definition, not interested in evidence; they are interested in a political narrative - another reason to read my book Why We Vote in which narrative peddling is discussed in detail - as well as the now obsolete? CMIE data on employment

Economist reports that Rahul Gandhi is not interested in economic growth but only in redistribution. The Economist is breaking ranks from the rest of western media in characterizing Rahul Gandhi as the problem and not the solution to India's divided opposition.

In a 'radical' judgement ILO has determined that PLFS surveys for 2017-18 and 2018-19 are unusable (very bad quality); Indian govt. found HCES 2017-18 survey to be of very bad quality. I raise questions about Indian data and its use and misuse.
