So Beth Wootton & I completed our Swimathon challenge 2024 , me with 2.5k in 80 mins & Beth her 5k in 80 mins ! And exceeded our fundraising target & raised over £5,700 for those fantastic charities Marie Curie & Cancer Research UK . So mega thanks to all our generous supporters !

It's 10 years since Michael has taken part in Swimathon and he has been swimming for 25 years at Yearsley Swimming Pool! After having a pacemaker fitted in 2016 he wanted to see if he could still do it. Safe to say you definitely can Michael!

Philip was raising money for Marie Curie and was the longest swim he has ever done! He will definitely be challenging himself to do the 2.5km again next year - maybe even the 5km!

Jane and Ayesha were taking part in Swimathon in honour of Gramps and Nan-Nan who had cancer. Ayesha did her first 1.5km challenge and wants to join her Mum doing 2.5km next year!

Team Swim: Fiona, Siona, Megan and Jack took on the 5km challenge. They were fundraising for a cousin in law who had cancer. It's Jack's first time swimming at Yearsley Swimming Pool and he had all the support when he finished his last length!

Team Swim: Billy, George, Vicky and Sarah took on the 5km challenge! They took on Swimathon for a fun challenge but also fundraising for those affected by cancer in their lives including Vicky who had cancer in 2020.

Swimathon raised >950k for cancer research. 5k in a pool is a bit easier (warmer) than in an ocean + no sharks. Excited for next year!
