The #GoHabsGo 5th overall selection in the #2023NHLDraft hasn't had the smoothest of D+1 seasons so far but still projects as a reliable, mobile, shutdown top 4 defenceman with significant upside as a breakout passer.

Public rankings in NA had Adam Fantilli as the consensus 2.

When scouts from every NHL team were polled at 2nd overall.

It was 50/50 between Carlsson and Fantilli.
