Today we have a bit of a #ArchiveMystery for you. From the Newport Rugby and Athletic Club collection, the photograph was taken at Fourteen Locks and dates from around 1900. Who are the two men? And is the diver real or a later addition?

These beautiful hand drawn illustrations showing scenes of #Edinburgh were found within the archive of Telford College. It's possible they are artwork for a leaflet or an event but their exact purpose and who created them is unknown.

Any #Tudor #FashionHistory experts out there able to solve this #ArchiveMystery ? This sketch was assumed to be John Rynsted (the name written above) but we think it may be a woman wearing a partlet and French hood.

Today’s #ArchiveMystery is the case of the glass in the dining hall. When it was a Chapel and later a library, the north window of the dining hall had “ostentatious and grotesque” coloured glass. Where did it go? When did it vanish? #Archive30

A very nice watercolour of an unidentified barn by E.F. Warne painted in the 1950s. A large structure with porch so presumably religious in nature but where it might be in Somerset we know not.

#archivemystery solved - a face for OB, Alain John (1920-43)! 🙌🙌🙌 At school he carved this statue of Christ to go above the door to the clock tower. John joined the RAF and was KIA. A recasting stands in the ruins of Coventry Cathedral as a memorial to the city's Blitz.

This is of East Dudwall in Camrose. It provides the field names and acreages and has a scale of chains. But there is no sign of a date or a record of the surveyor. However, internal evidence points to the map predating 1786.
