If you thought Earth is the only place with lakes, think again! This false-color radar image (top) shows lakes on Titan comparable in size to Earth's Great Lakes (bottom), but Titan's lakes are filled with liquid methane! It's so cold that water ice acts more like a rock!

Paul Matthews, Chief of Boat for Enterprise (NX-01). A lifelong sailing enthusiast, he joined Starfleet after a long stint in the Royal Navy as an enlisted man. He didn't know a lot about exobiology or astrogeology, but he could manage people.

Project A119 was a top-secret plan developed in 1958 by the US Air Force. The goal of the project was to detonate a nuke on the Moon, allegedly to solve some of the mysteries in planetary astronomy & astrogeology, but also as a giant 'f**k you' to the Soviet Union

Enterprise arrives at the comet. There is too much tail debris for a safe shuttle landing. The astrogeology team beams aboard a core sample and will monitor the comet for the next hour.

Spa-d’-Ur (time god of Ur) 33=8

There was a blooming spider
Went up a blooming spout
And down came the rain
And washed the spider out
Out came the sun
And dried up all the rain
But that bloody blooming son of a gun
Went up that spout again

In astrogeology, an arachnoid…

Dr. Laszlo Kestay, an Astrogeology volcanologist, took this photo of a lava skylight in Hawai'i. They're off-limits to visitors due to the potential of further roof collapses and the extremely hot air coming out of the skylight. Some people think it resembles a gate to hell

I like that boulder. That's a NICE boulder!
sampling included a variety of geologic materials, and Astrogeology had a hand in helping astronauts recognize what samples would be most helpful to analyze. Check out this photo of Charlie Duke picking pieces off this boulder!
