First things first. BCUR is an academic conference. All presenters submitted abstracts that were peer reviewed before acceptance.

If you were accepted to give a talk poster or other format, many congratulations!

The only condition is the research was done by an undergraduate(s)

And so the whole is a wonderful festival of contemporary research across an incredible range of topics.

It is always my favourite conference of the year. Easily.

For the majority of delegates it’s their first BCUR and for many this first academic conference.

Open minds and a keenness to discover.

And perhaps a hint of anxiety?

BCUR was founded at UCLAN in 2011 by Stuart Hampton-Reeves.

Since then it’s happened almost annually in Warwick, Plymouth, Nottingham, Winchester, MMU, Bournemouth, Sheffield, South Wales, missed 2020, online Leeds 2021, missed 2022, Warwick 2023.

This year we are at LSE!
