🚀 #BiodiversityMonitoring Boost: 33 #Research Projects Funded
We launched the #BiodivMon call in Sept 2022, seeking innovative 3-year projects for transnational biodiversity monitoring. After a meticulous evaluation, we're thrilled to announce the selection of 33 projects. 🧵1/3

Blue star (Linckia laevigata) is a #seastar characterized by five cylindrical arms with bright blue body colour. They are a mobile and solitary species, inhabitant of coral reefs and sea grass beds. Like other sea stars, they are opportunistic predators and scavengers. #biodivmon

3⃣3⃣new innovative projects funded by the Biodiversa+ (European Biodiversity Partnership) BiodivMon call!

These projects focuses on improving the transnational monitoring of biodiversity and ecosystem change!

Funded projects include Azorean research teams cE3c-GBA & Okeanos - UAc from University of the Azores.

After the open #BiodivMon Tallinn events of the last two days, #BiodivMon workshops underway!
Projects are brainstorming collaboration on:
• 📏 Harmonisation & standards
• 🧬 eDNA
• 🤝 Stakeholder engagement
Matchmaking & action plans in the works!
