#OnThisDay in 1905, Tommy Flowers was born.
Flowers and his team designed COLOSSUS, the forerunner of the modern computer, which broke German cipher systems Bletchley Park during WWII.
In September, a blue plaque was erected where COLOSSUS was built, in recognition of his work
Jake, 12yrs, made his first QSO with W4VDW during recent visit to RSGB National Radio Centre.
He was so inspired that he & his Grandad went straight to @BletchleyPark bookshop to purchase Foundation Licence book with intention of getting #amateurradio Licence ASAP - brilliant 🙌
