At 5:37pm, ACFD along with CAL FIRE SCU were called to Grant Line Road in the Altamont for a vegetation fire.

The fire spread to 27 acres before it was stopped.

No homes were threatened and injuries to firefighters.

This afternoon, deputies responded to a solo vehicle over the side of Hwy 1 south of the Tom Lantos tunnel. Two adults suffered non-life threatening injuries and two children were unharmed. Tremendous collaborative effort btwn SMSO, CHP Golden Gate and CAL FIRE SCU

Teamwork definitely made the dream work here. Deputies from our Search & Rescue Team worked with State Park Rangers and CAL FIRE SCU to locate a missing hiker at Henry Coe State Park. Tragedy avoided. Life saved.

When a northern California couple with a baby on the way couldn't make it to the hospital this morning, CAL FIRE SCU personnel stepped up. Realizing they couldn’t make it to the hospital, the couple decided the nearest fire station would be their next best alternative.
