It’s time for a #CUREConnect question!
What’s a question you wish you asked or could ask your oncology team at any point during your experience with cancer? Let us know in the comments below!
#CureConnect Create a 'kickin' cancer's a$$' playlist and take your headphones everywhere. Carry a journal or notebook and pens you love. Don't force yourself to stay busy, if you need to close your eyes & rest - do it.
In our most recent #CUREConnect , a CURE® reader asked how to manage #FearofRecurrence 15 years into #survivorship .
Here’s what retired nurse practitioner Jody Pelusi from Arizona Oncology (Arizona Oncology) had to say:

CURE Today #CURECONNECT —yes, I sought a second opinion for treatment options when my cancer reoccurred. I have never regretted taking that action. I believe the Doctor who treated me as a result, probably saved my life.
CURE Today #CureConnect I disclosed to my employer. They were actually very considerate and understanding. Without disclosing, it would have been tough as I needed time for my treatment and I was able to work it out. It made a world of difference.
CURE Today I’ve embraced my lack of hair - I had really thick long, blonde hair before chemo - bald as a coot now but it’s so much easier to wash my head in the morning than messing about with shampoo 😅 and I have some lovely wigs - love tying out new styles and colours 🥰 #CURECONNECT
CURE Today What's the current cadence for the #CureConnect chats? What I have in my calendar is apparently not what they are currently scheduled for. Thanks!
CURE Today #CureConnect I did not disclose. I felt vulnerable. I felt people would begin to get nosy and ask what stage my cancer was in, and whether I was up to continuing employment.
