For Cass demands that an always out of reach, unknown set of paramaters are reached. It will never be enough. 13 year olds can't have puberty blockers because they may want hormones, which they can't have because we don't know the quality of their adult sex life.

Reality of GIDS NHS adolescent gender healthcare. By 2016 a 13 year old could be referred & were still on the waiting list, never ever seen before they 'aged out' to adult services. The moral panic over the handful who ever accessed healthcare is bombastic & farcical.

Writing about the Cass Review and noticed something odd.

Has there been any discussion of how Trilby (Tilly) Langton declared a conflict of interest in the PROSPERO pre-registration of the systematic reviews that's missing from the papers in the BMJ?

I've started a spreadsheet to collate critique of the Cass Review. It's here:

docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d…

As well as links and a brief summary of each, I've included a bit of a classification of the critique being made.

Would you like to have a guess which result Cass mentions in her final report, and which one not?

In the section on blockers she brings it up. But in the section on cross-sex hormones & a more striking result, nothing.

Everywhere, a little thumb on the scale.

Cal Horton eviscerates Cass Review on social transition & puberty blockers in forensic detail, charging Cass with prejudice driven evidence & policy, & giving undue priority to hypothetical concerns whilst devaluing or erasing positive findings. whatthetrans.com/ep104

Cass has caused Trans youth & their families to lose all trust with the NHS. The potential threat of referral to social services can only lead to worse outcomes for Trans youth. The NHS England & RCPCH are a threat to Trans health outcomes

The NHS Working Group on Gender Dysphoria is the group that advised the Cass Review. The membership of this group has been kept secret by Cass. Now we know why. With Byng & Stephens, & Riittakerttu Kaltiala, we now know at least 3 members of SEGM were advising Cass. 2/

Please read this 🧵 by Erin Reed

It quickly lists & highlights the biggest flaws with the Cass report.

Sadly media will just copy & paste this anti trans story which will cause real harm to transgender people. This anti-trans push is driven by conservative zealots.

Highly recommend this episode which includes a talk by Dr Cal Horton on social transition & the Cass Review's epistimological chicanery.
