Corrour Summit Station in the wilderness of Rannoch Moor. No roads lead to this place. Only accessible by rail and the highest station in Britain. Lonely, beautiful, brooding and beguiling.

Corrour, an absolutely beautiful railway station which also happens to be Britain’s highest! 🚂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 There’s no official roads to this station and it can only be reached by foot or train! 😃 You can catch services to London, Glasgow, Fort William and Mallaig from here! 🌎

Heading for Corrour

Last night we stopped at Corrour station...our wonderful steward pointed out the Trainspotting bridge, where the famous 'it's shite to be Scottish' line was uttered. The location was perfect I have to say 😜😁

In November 1971, the worst mountain disaster in UK history occurred on the Cairngorms. Two groups of schoolchildren, both from Ainslie Park school in Edinburgh, set off separately from near the top of Cairn Gorm, aiming ultimately for Corrour bothy in the Lairig Ghru. (1/n)
