been burning since 1923 in front of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, arrives into Portsmouth Port onboard Brittany Ferries ‘Galicia’ for the first time, with a flotilla of vessels sailing alongside escorting the flame into the harbour.

As part of our campaign this morning Director General of the CWGC passed the Torch of Commemoration to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak who then passed it to D-Day Veteran Peter Kent. The Torch now travels around the UK before heading to France.
