As part of our #DDay80 #LegacyofLiberation campaign this morning Director General of the CWGC passed the Torch of Commemoration to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak who then passed it to D-Day Veteran Peter Kent. The Torch now travels around the UK before heading to France.
Yesterday, Canadians gathered at BeechwoodCemetery to honour #SWW Veterans. They marked the upcoming 80th anniversary of D-Day and the Battle of Normandy, thanked all those who served and paid their respects to the fallen.
