We have just had the news that we have received planning consent from Perth and Kinross Council to build our new home at Dalerb!

We are so humbled by the support everyone has given us. We are really looking forward to working alongside you all to make this dream our reality! 😊

In my happy place! I'm leading the build of a woven hazel roundhouse for the Scottish Crannog Centre at the new museum site at Dalerb.

The split oak doorway is set in the ground and we're now well underway with the the construction.

Loch Tay! A morning swim at Dalerb near Kenmore. It felt warm, haha, it was 13°. The silvery Tay river flows through this beautiful loch on its long meander from the Highlands to the sea ❤️.

Got to visit our new site build yesterday! It is so much more than I ever could have imagined and I am so honoured to be part of making this place the new home of the Scottish Crannog Centre. The reality of this move is starting to set in!

Warm Day Visit

The Crannog Centre, Loch Tay; about 2,500 years ago, stilted wooden roundhouses called crannogs rose from lochs. The center offers a look at our ancient way of life. Destroyed by fire in 2021, it reopens in April - and a new Iron Age village at nearby Dalerb.

Today the Community Assets Transfer panel visited the Dalerb site and met the team. Mike presented the vision for our new museum, as we move towards the next stage of the development.

We even got the good biscuits out for them!
