For #DeafAwarenessWeek we have been exploring sign language through songs and stories. The children have learnt to sign a song and listened to a story called ‘Freddy and the Fairy.” We decorated our yellow wrist bands to show our support for this important topic. #iqmfamily

A reminder to all schools promoting #Makaton during #DeafAwarenessWeek , here’s the explanation from the Sense organisation on the differences between Makaton and #BSL and who uses which one. In short, we deaf people DO NOT use Makaton. Please do better by educating yourselves.
