Ramblers taken an interest in one of my local walking routes, would be great to get it recognised as a bridleway #dontloseyourway
Jon Moses Jack Cornish RamblersGB have a project #DontLoseYourWay which identified paths that never got onto the definitive maps. They are now raising money (and volunteers) to get them recognised before the deadline passes and they are lost forever. It could be a long job.

While England & Wales are well known for their 140,000 miles of public footpath, Dr Joseph Claghorn has found their provision is unequal; with a strong correlation between levels of income deprivation & inadequate or fragmented footpaths⬇️

#DontLoseYourWay
😱Sounds along way off but time flies towards a deadline...
Its not right that history can be seemingly be written off/ erased to never be used for reference in the future. Sad very uncomfortable with this 😥

DON’T LOSE YOUR WAY ⏰
Shocked to learn Defra UK capitulated so readily to the demands of landowners with no regard for the wider public ❗
We need all hands on deck to save the 41,000 paths at risk before the clock runs out ▶️ dontloseyourway.ramblers.org.uk opendemocracy.net/en/public-acce…

Our walking rights didn’t happen by accident...
These paths were shaped by our ancestors over centuries 🥾 & our rights to walk them fought for by ramblers past
We can't sit back & let them be eroded. Not on our watch.
Join the fightback ✊ #Volunteer
