It's #DyddSantesDwynwen /St.Dwynwen's Day. The Welsh patron saint of lovers. She founded a convent on Llanddwyn. We visited just before lockdown. A truly magical place & somehow St. Dwynwen is still there in the sound of the waves & in the peace that holds this place in its arms.

St Dwynwen fell in love with the wrong man and prayed to forget him. An angel came and turned her love, Maelor, into ice. In Wales we celebrate St Dwynwen's Day on 25th Jan by sending our loved ones large blocks of ice. #DyddSantesDwynwen
