Today marked the last day of #ECCMID2023 #ECCMID23

During these four days, I was happy to see a number of highly informative talks and seminars about bacteriophages! 😃

Among those were the interesting presentation about phage resistance mechanisms by María (Maria del Mar) Tomas

That's a wrap for the first day of #ECCMID23 🦠 I was happy to present my current project on interactions between nasal commensals during the poster session. And I am definitely impressed by the size of this conference ! 🤯

All pts are colonized w/ Enterococcus yet we do not routinely cover it when using cefepime.

Major take home from #ECCMID23 late breakers clinical trial session - even pragmatic trials exclude most participants! Not a criticism, just shows challenges of translating even 'pragmatic' trials. This example from Yin Mo's excellent VAP trial.
