Es war ein aufregender Tag: Letzten Donnerstag wurde endlich der Schwertransport mit dem neuen #GESTRA EUSST Container mithilfe eines großen 450t-Kran entladen. Im Zeitraffervideo sieht man den Kranaufbau ab früh morgens u. die Verkranung, was Stunden gedauert hat in nur 2 Min.

#DYK that in 2021 the #EUSST registered 2⃣6⃣ events in which at least one 🇪🇺 Member State was within the potential area potentially affected by the re-entry of a space object ❓

However, most space objects have burnt up in the atmosphere and never reached the ground 🌍

It was an exciting day: Last Thursday, the heavy transport with the #GESTRA EUSST container was finally unloaded using a large 450-ton crane. In the time-lapse video, you can see the crane assembly from early morning and the lifting operation, which took hours, in just 2 min.

The Partnership Agreement for #EUSpace Surveillance and Tracking is operational since 2022

It focuses on improving the performance and autonomy of the 🇪🇺 SST 🛰️
