#Enterovirus is more common during summer through fall. While mostly causing common colds, enteroviruses, particularly #EVD68 , may cause #AcuteFlaccidMyelitis #AFM , an uncommon but serious neurologic condition that can lead to paralysis. See:

This is my second article about #EVD68 . We developed new real-time PCR (NU assay) for detection and non-nested PCR assay (N-Set) for sequencing of VP1 region. NU assay has much higher sensitivity than WashU. N-Set has also higher sensitivity than CODEHOP.
