Blessed #EmperorKarl venerated in St Stephen's Basilica of #Budapest at the side altar with the statue containing his relic.

The place that perhaps better remembers them both in HU is baroque Gödöllő castle: Maria Theresia made a famous visit there & Bl #EmperorKarl /Charles IV stayed there when in HU.

Former head of #Gebetsliga in HU Mr Gusztáv Hittig receives Pro Ecclesia & Pontifice cross, while present head Mr Gergely Kovács is awarded w/ Order of St Gregory for their commitment to the cause of Bl #EmperorKarl in HU.
Mr Kovács is also director of #Mindszenty Foundation.

Commemoration of Bl #EmperorKarl was held also at #Tihany on Lake #Balaton 🇭🇺 where he had spent his last days in Hungary before the deportation to #Madeira .
A Calvary was erected in 1927 in his memory & his rooms are also preserved/restored.

H. Mass on the 107th anniversary of the coronation of Bl. #EmperorKarl as King of HU was celebrated in its historic venue of #MatthiasChurch .
Organized by HU Historic Families Association & others, was served by Knights of Malta & Holy Sepulchre.

In C11 St Stephen founded a cloister in #Veszprém -valley for Bizantine nuns w/ foundation charter written in Greek (!)
Tradition says that here the future HU royal coronation mantle was prepared in 1031 (used last time by Bl. #EmperorKarl 1916).
Ruins stay in a nice park.

World History Encyclopedia Sacred Crown of Hungary, also called St Stephen's crown (probably C11), used until 1916 (Bl. #EmperorKarl ) for crowning HU kings. It continues to represent the Hungarian State, therefore it's kept at the Parliament.
