We're hopeful that GGRF can support public-public derisking, especially for mixed-income social housing!

When I say we mapped it out, I meant it.

If GGRF awardees can help plugging these specific gaps in markets for local decarbonization, then we're quite literally in business.

The U.S. EPA awarded $20B in grants under the Inflation Reduction Act to eight projects under the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF).

The awardees have committed to reducing pollution and mobilizing financing and private capital.

There's a lot that GGRF awardees will have to do, individually and collectively, to get to that point. In particular, they'll need to do the work of building their own underwriting standards and project pipelines.

advait and I just published part 3 of CPE's series on the GGRF. In our earlier discussion, we talked about what the GGRF should ideally do: set up new markets by reducing uncertainty. It's an institutional problem of making them legible.
