Our #GreenWeek activities continued today with a local information event & clothes swap, and Creative learners gave advice on upcycling and mending clothes.
Horticulture apprentices & staff have also started setting up beds & plants in a new sustainable outdoor space on campus!
Art & Design learners have showcased their talents with a set of new sculptures installed at nine venues across campus for #GreenWeek .
Each was handmade using recovered items which would be sent to waste, including cymbals, bottle jars, nuts, bolts, boxes, piping & more.
Today's #GreenWeek theme is Turn Off Thursday.
Today, printers across Oldham College and University Campus Oldham will be offline to highlight the environmental impact of printing, and to encourage necessary printing only.

Bath Spa University #GreenWeek
For the final day of #GreenWeek we held a coffee morning to raise money for Cool Earth!
Our apprentices chose to fundraise for Cool Earth, which addresses climate change through protecting the rainforests.
The event featured all Fairtrade products, including very tasty cakes!
Today at #GreenWeek , TfGM joined our Travel Green event to share information about Bee Network and sustainable travel.
Staff and learners upcycled pre-loved items at a Swap Shop for books, home décor, games and more, and our fantastic ESOL learners did a campus litter pick!
Today's #GreenWeek theme is ‘Waste not Wednesday’ so students and staff got stuck in making dog toys from recycled materials at lunchtime. Everyone enjoyed thinking creatively about reusing and repurposing waste. #GMCollegesGreenWeek
As part of #greenweek we welcomed local business owner, Caeryn Collins, who talked to our students about the impact our carbon footprints have on the planet. The students were asked to consider what they can do in their daily lives to lower their carbon footprint.
As #GreenWeek continues, we want to highlight our fantastic staff using eco-friendly modes of transport on their way to work. Public Transport, car sharing, cycling and walking are all great ways to make our commutes greener. #GMCollegesGreenWeek

Our students have been having some fun making smoothies using pedal power. Today, the bike is outside of the Head of Studies area at Parsons Walk.
Make sure to have a go if you're walking by and you'll earn a delicious healthy drink too!
