Today’s Local 103 IBEW & NECA Boston sprung to action when his pregnant teacher suddenly fainted. Seven year old Max Angel remained calm, grabbed a hall pass and sprinted to the nurse’s office. With Max’s guidance, the school nurse helped the teacher regain consciousness.

Today’s Local 103 IBEW & NECA Boston was bowling in Lewiston, ME when he saw an active shooter. Tom Giberti noticed a group of kids and pleaded for them to run towards him. As they ran to the exit, Tom was shot numerous times, shielding the children on their way to safety.

Today’s Local 103 IBEW & NECA Boston noticed a child sitting uncomfortably and sweating inside a locked car. Alex Torres saw the child showing signs of heat exhaustion and called 911. As he waited for authorities to arrive, Alex smashed the window and rescued the child.

Amelia LoVerme jumped out of her seat and quickly performed the Heimlich maneuver, saving her brother’s life.

Using survival methods learned in his swim class, Shayne Haynes-Ross swam over to the child, pulled her up and brought her to safety.

Meghan Hutchinson raced to a backroom for cover and noticed her daughter Zoey was grazed by a bullet. She barricaded the door with furniture to protect people nearby.

Youth bowling league president Kenny Moore rushed people to the exits, then heroically re-entered the building to save the remaining kids.

Today’s Local 103 IBEW & NECA Boston noticed a teammate collapse during practice and quickly used his CPR skills to help. Daniel Slatkavitz continued chest compressions until first responders arrived; successfully resuscitating the teen who has since made a full recovery.
