Renowned Black US writer Ijeoma Oluo has cancelled her talk in a conference held by Goethe Institute in Hamburg, Germany in solidarity with Palestinian writer Mohammed El-Kurd and the Palestinian people, after the conference disinvited El-Kurd.

Coincidentally, I just finished reading this book, Mediocre, by Ijeoma Oluo. Stockton Rush may as well have been one of the examples she cites of how the violent disregard for others that is praised in a male ego has led to such disastrous results on both local and global scales.
