Today we're celebrating by giving the limelight to ghost sharks, better known in South Africa as chimaeras. They are not 'true sharks', but are rather halfway between a typical fish and a typical shark.
On this #InternationalGhostSharkDay , I'm revealing the (long-awaited) chimaera/northernlights t-shirt showcased at #EEA2023 . The first to identify the species on the shirt will receive one as a special gift!
