Happy #InternationalPlantAppreciationDay ! 🌿🌳🌵 South Africa, a megadiverse nation, is home to unique plant hotspots like the Cape Floral Kingdom & the Succulent Karoo. The latter has almost 40% of over 6000 plant species found nowhere else! 🇿🇦
Don't mind us, just using #InternationalPlantAppreciationDay as an excuse to post our favorite flora. FUN FACT: hops are actually flowers. We'd take these magical little Humulus lupulus cones over roses any day.
Apparently I went our to see a now-rare bloom on #InternationalPlantAppreciationDay ! The Warren, a #Gloucestershire bastion of the pasque flower (Pulsatilla vulgaris) surely delivered the goods, including a lovely pale one among the deep purple. So wonderful! #wildflowers
