Familiar storm clouds off the craggy outlines of Portmuck on the County Antrim Coast. Less familiar is the appearance of icebergs and woolly mammoth! Thought, by some, to have once roamed the area.

The islandmagee witches plaque. True to form one unionist objected to them being declared innocent. I guess their direct line to Satan is still in place.

1711, the Islandmagee Witch Trials, a girl is accused of possession, She blames 8 local women who are attacked & gaoled. The girl has more fits and a local man is imprisoned. After their eventual release the women are ostracised. A plaque in their memory was recently unveiled.

On 16th Feb 1942 the tanker SS San Nicolas🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 was hit by a torpedo & sank in flames in the Gulf of Venezuela🇻🇪 with the loss of 7 Crew (19 survived) incl Chief Officer Samuel Kane aged 28 from Islandmagee Co Antrim & 3rd Engineer Officer Rupert Kenney aged 35 from Dame St Dublin🇮🇪
