No gigs here since March 2020. The Government temporarily cut VAT on tickets to 5%. There has been no perceivable benefit so far & it's due to end 31/3/21.

Rishi Sunak lowered VAT on ticket sales to 5%.
now, when recovery is on the horizon, he plans to raise it again, taking millions from the live music industry just when it needs it most.

Last year, the government cut VAT on tickets to 5%. At a time where very few people were actually buying tickets.

The live music industry is currently in recovery mode. The last thing it needs is a 400% VAT increase.
