Today, we remember tens of thousands of Tutsis who were brutally murdered in Gatwaro Stadium during the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi.
They were assured of safety by their authorities, the same authorities who later organized and ordered their extermination.

30 years ago today, I was deprived of a chance to know my maternal grandparents and so many of my relatives who were massacred along with more than 28,000 other innocents in Kibeho, for no other crime than being Tutsi.
