Calling all - pls do this short survey & help develop the learning offer for unique WW2 D-Day ship LCT7074. It's a nationally significant project so UK teachers, have your say! Plus, you'll have the chance to win a local spa experience! bit.ly/2JvlAIs

So thrilled to have finally got to see outside The D-Day Story on our way back from holiday on the IOW yesterday. Lovely surprise to see my commissioned by The National Museum of the Royal Navy on the information board too. Hope to visit properly soon.

Interesting to witness D-Day landing craft making its final journey to its new home The D-Day Story. Nice to see some former 'passengers' - a Churchill and Sherman tank - tagging along too

Looking forward to visiting The D-Day Story⁩ when I can. This painting of my father’s LCT en route to the Far East campaign is a reminder of these “maids of the sea” who took the fight to foreign shores. Can’t wait to experience the real thing.

We've got our own battlefleet!

These little recognition models were found onboard the sunken U-534.

The big guy is HMS Furious, while the smallest is a Landing Craft Tank. The last surviving LCT, , was once U-534's neighbour but is now on display at The D-Day Story
