Firing by night is every bit as critical as using our weapons by day.

Learning these skills is all part of the development of our soldiers.

Missile away! When you come up against enemy armour, Javelin Anti-Tank missiles are key - Top Attack is used to strike from above! Good shooting from Tpr Dunbar of C Sqn SCOTS DG!

Our sights are set on .

Fired from the ground or mounted on our JKL vehicles, it’s a potent piece of kit, but what it’s called.

For soldiers, Jackal is our primary vehicle but sometimes it’s more appropriate to park the vehicles up and deploy via aviation. For a nighttime raid on an enemy position we deployed forward 80km in Chinook in order to maintain surprise and operate dismounted.

As we approach the festive lull in battle, the CO sets out his stall for the coming year at our study day.

Centred on Redford barracks, the permanent staff and sub-unit command teams are taking a deep dive into how we do business.

Equipment Care. Not the most glamorous activity that we do, but absolutely critical to the delivery of our output.

Last night E Sqn were reacquainting themselves with just that, before getting out for some mobile navigation.

Never ones to miss an opportunity for quality training, our from A Sqn in Ayr, have also been busy.

Counter IED, operating in built up areas and first aid, under the watchful eye of our medics were all on the menu.
