The House passes the current version of the annual defense authorization bill not containing the #MJIIPA 363-70, sending it to the Senate.

We can't wait to #PassMJIIPA . Removing the Chain of Command from reporting of sexual assault/harassment will save lives and increase accountability. In the time Congress has delayed in passing MJIIPA, there have been countless assaults carried out without justice for survivors.

In 2018 an estimated 20k+ servicemembers were sexually assaulted. We support Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand's #Military Justice Improvement & Increasing Prevention Act, which addresses a pressing need for #sexualassault prevention DoD hasn't implemented.
