A bird showing characteristics of Iberian Wagtail has been found today at Marazion Marsh, Cornwall. Photos have been taken and the very raspy call heard but not yet sound recorded.

Surprisingly there are just four U.K. records of Iberian Wagtail but none accepted for Cornwall.

Male Whinchat at the stunning Windmill Farm reserve, Lizard and a Garganey and Yellow Wagtail at Marazion. Also saw first Hobby of the year and several Swifts.

Huge cobblestones pave the way to St Michael's Mount a tidal island in Mount's Bay, Cornwall, England, . The island is linked to the town of Marazion by a causeway of granite setts, passable (as is the beach) between mid-tide and low water. Wikipedia & Me. NMP.

This morning’s Great White Egret at Marazion Marsh, Cornwall.

The last bird reported here was 21st April, so I’m assuming this is a new one in. The blackish bill colour and narrow green around the rear of the eye look very similar to the recent Walmsley bird.

Marazion Marsh this morning: a smart Great White Egret at the front of the marsh. Given the dark bill colour and absence of the last GWE, I’m thinking this is a new bird in?
