Happy #MosasaurMonday !
Not sure if you guys noticed, but last week, a 2nd season of #PrehistoricPlanet dropped?? Mosasaurs are featured in *3* of the 5 episodes, including 3 named taxa, 2 of them new! Overall, their portrayal is much better than in S1, imo... 1/7
Reposting an older project on yet ANOTHER social platform, because why not? My skeletal reconstruction of Mosasaurus hoffmannii: artstation.com/artwork/ELqmnv #MosasaurMonday #Mosasaurus

Meet Mosasaurus hoffmannii IRScNB R 303. It is one of the most immaculately preserved Mosasaurus skulls we have; check out that near-perfect palate!! It even has both vomeronasal fenestrae - the openings used by the forked tongue to 'taste smells.'
