Andrea Murphy I recently found a stack from the 1930s, mostly front pages of daily newspapers having articles about ww2 military movements. My bf said it was a thing to post them to flash out spies. They just had to listen in who is repeating the info published on the front page to the enemy
Brad Scott NHM Library&Archives My favourite so far was a bicycle advert that ended up mounted on the sheet with the specimen, because it was inseparable from the plant. I see this sometimes with daffodils and morning glories.
