Nice to find Water Vole in a new spot along the Gwent levels today and not the tame fed variety from Magor Marsh so this one was very shy. This spot is directly threatened by the proposed M4 'black route'. #nonewM4 CALM #gwentmammals #watervoles

This is a reen, not a typo. Reens = ancient waterways that criss-cross the Gwent Levels, fizzing with wildlife. Some media assumed a mistake when @fmwales cited them and the historic landscape as reasons not to destroy the Levels with a new motorway. Reens are not typos! #NoNewM4
