Nice to get lots of closeups of this beautiful Yellow Wagtail at Pitsford Dam on Wednesday before and after torrential rain. Just one solitary bird 1/5/24

Early evening at Summerleys, initially no sign of the Black Tern, but it suddenly appeared later, landing on Gull Island. A pristine Arctic Tern bombed through, plus a Gt Egret, 3 Common Sand and 3 LRP. Big arrival of Garden Warbler!

High waterlevels have flooded out the main island at Titchmarsh NR. Gulls and geese frantically adding nesting material to no avail. Gulls started copuating again soon after leaving their nests. The Wildlife Trust for Beds, Cambs & Northants

My first ever male Ring Ouzel, bit too far for me to focus, a tripod would have helped, still easy to spot with his white bib. Millers Meadow 25/4/24
