FACT: Ugandan Deputy Speaker of Parliament Thomas Tayebwa has been elected to represent East Africa to the Organisation of African, Caribbean, and Pacific States (OACPS) - European Union General Assembly.

He was elected at the ongoing 64th session of the OACPS in Angola.

Last week, UNIDO facilitated talks between African Organisation for Standardisation, CROSQ, & Pacific Quality Infrastructure Initiative. Leaders discussed standardization plans & explored collaboration avenues for stronger technical capacity & harmonized standards
