I’m convinced that nobody knows how pervasive #OIDV really is and that’s it’s the culture set by generations of Law Enforcement leadership that must be tackled-not just new laws, policies, procedures. Culture eats policy. 700k + cops in US. 13% or so = women. 10-40% suffer #OIDV !

Indeed we are not. Energetic action it will be. We’re not promised another day let alone a lifetime but I’ll promise to employ energetic action to spare others the fate my family’s been consigned to bear due to an avoidable murder caused by a dirty & pernicious evil called #OIDV .

Great line about how investigating a DV case is like investigating a homicide b/c in both, the victim may be no help. Knowing this fact, investigating a DV case properly might avoid it becoming a homicide too! Please write a piece on #OIDV too. Let's make good cops even better.
