I would like to truly appreciate the officers of the NYPD 23rd Precinct for their support this summer as we worked to ensure the young people were able to have some type of meaningful sports to enjoy in East Harlem. From community affairs to NCO/YCO officers. We appreciate U.

I visited the A. Phillip Randolph Senior Center in Harlem!
I look forward to hearing their stories, receiving wisdom, and sharing joy with our pillars of society - especially here in District 9!

Saturday was the definition of community LOVE. Our Newest Harlem Residents joined our '116st Community Cleanup Initiative' showing HARLEM PRIDE. 116th Street between 8th and 5th Avenues looked amazing.

I was honored to celebrate the 85th Birthday of the Harlem's Rucker Park Legend & Founder of Each One Teach One, Bob McCullough. True service isn't measured by the accolades we receive, but by the impact we have on the lives of others. #WeThankYou #LivingBlackHistory
Harlem bids farewell to Mr. Joseph “Jazz” Hayden who passed away at the age of 82 on 01/22/2024. He was known for changing his negative past as a known gangster into a staunch advocate for voting rights for incarcerated people. This beloved Harlemite will be missed. #OneHarlem
Harlem never forgets to honor its hometown heroes, so I was delighted to attend the fantastic show honoring Elombe and Nomsa Brath, photographer Kwame Braithwaite, and the legacy of the Grandassa models. Also featured the great musicians Craig Harris & Tailgaters Tales
