The first weekend of the Festival of Steam at the Epping Ongar Railway was brilliant! 2999 “Lady of Legend” is a phenomenal loco! She’ll be joining 45690 “Leander” next weekend for the main gala!

Busy weekend for the team.

A Range Rover stolen in #Billericay was recovered by us in Essex Police in Basildon District.

And in #Ongar a disqualified driving with no insurance and a child without a car seat had his car seized by the team.

PCSOs Buckley and Janes and #Ongar Beat Officer, PC Shepherd, intercepted and arrested a scammer this week who was attempting to defraud a victim of their savings. The victim called Police following a scam on their bank account.

Tributes have been paid to a motorcyclist who died following a collision in High Ongar last month.

Officers were called to Chelmsford Road at around 5:35pm on Saturday, 13 April following a collision involving a car and a motorcycle.
