Third time lucky: found out last week that I had two doses of the control vaccine in the #oxfordastrazeneca vaccine trial, so now off to get the real thing.
A trip to #barry for Sally Bushby and me. Not to Island on this sunny day but to the equally impressive #mvc . We are now 'double jabbed'. Grateful to #oxfordastrazeneca and to my former NHS colleagues Public Health Wales Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) Cardiff and Vale University Health Board who have worked so hard for Wales.

A single dose of BNT162b2 ( #PfizerBioNTech ) or ChAdOx1 ( #OxfordAstraZeneca ) #vaccine in 165 participants aged >80 years induced protective antibody immunity in almost all subjects. 👍
Cellular responses appeared to be higher with the ChAdOx1 vaccine.

Press Trust of India AstraZeneca and University of Oxford have done a big mistake by giving licence to SerumInstituteIndia. The whole Indian vaccination program is screwed up by the unholy nexus between them and government of India. A public funded vaccine has ended up as a 💰making scheme.

If an #EmergencyUseLicence only lasts for 12 months how are #Pfizer , #Moderna , #OxfordAstrazeneca , #JohnsonJohnson #jabs still being administered? We are no longer in an emergency and the licences have expired. Not one if officially licenced and won't be for many years! #Covid_19
