Yesterday we delivered letters from Educare DC teachers to the Council of DC about what the #PayEquityFund means to them. The Council must keep its commitment to early childhood teachers and fully restore the Pay Equity Fund in the FY25 budget. #ProtectPEF
We knew that this was going to be a tough budget year. But this one-two punch eliminating the #PayEquityFund and cutting the childcare subsidy by $10M is devastating. High quality childcare is the engine of our economy and the foundation for thriving children and families.
