A 1.5 hour period when they knew damn well it was my peak usage-when I turn the heating up from minimum & cook dinner. As an experiment I went out so only the fridge & wifi were running! Really not worth the messing about & eating so late 🙄 I used the power anyway 😂 #PeakSave

Um, British Gas, why am I getting #peaksave texts when I am now with Octopus Energy (agile octopus tarif) and paying way less than half most of the time lol (see image). How do I unsub from the texts? Will they stop on thier own?

Looks like the British Gas auto-text bot hasn't updated for the clocks going back.

The PeakSave is meant to last 11 am to 4 pm; it's only just turned 3pm and already said it's ended.

PeakSave summer Sundays by British Gas not looking so generous. By encouraging use of electricity Sunday daytime, they make more and more cash. Electricity is minus 20p/kWh tomorrow....

British Gas Hi, I called them first. I'm still waiting for my export mpan from August, which they said wasn't set up with British Gas yet (Even though I'm dual fuel customer & applied for the mpan via SEG).
They appeared confused when I asked about discharging batteries during peaksave.

Thanks for this. Slightly puzzled as to how I could have used less energy than I usually would at this time... Since I was out of the country, and every piece of electrical equipment including central heating was switched off at the mains. Care to explain?

British Gas Help Why are Economy7 customers being neglected?
eg You offered me a SmartMeter early in '22; I booked; you were no-show. I chased. BG then said E7-compatible ones would be ready in a few mths. They're still not so.
By default you deny us the option to use PeakSave.

It will end on 24 September - but you can still sign up to enjoy the deal until then.

PeakSave is only available to smart electricity credit meter customers. It's not currently available for those with prepayment meters.
